Winter Wellness: Peace for your Christmastime ๐ŸŽ„

Our next full moon is known as The Cold Moon ๐ŸŒ It will be at it’s peak on Thursday 4th December, in only a weeks time! ๐Ÿ—“ Approaching mid-winter, after the days become shorter, the temperature can drop quite suddenly. โ„๏ธ

This week so far has been pretty cold and here are a few things I noticed that helped me stay ontop of my practice… ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

The air outide is sharp, but brisk and energising. Perfect for a run to build heat and maintain your yang energy! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ The cars peacefully light-up the roads and soon the houses will be decorated for the upcoming holidays too (how exiting!!). Exercising in these colder conditions can help keep your body healthy and your mind alert too. Running can be a great way to explore your strength and find balance. โญ๏ธ

No running or night gear? You can still go on evening walks following the street lamps! Slowly build the amount of time you spend outside. Bring a flask of hot cocoa or malted barely! ๐Ÿ˜ Notice what nature is around you. What are the colours of the leaves on the trees? ๐ŸŒฒ Which berries are on the bushes? ๐Ÿซ What animals do you meet? ๐ŸฆŠ Would you bring a notepad next time to sketch or write a letter? โœ๏ธ How are you inspired? โœจ๏ธ

In an indoor environment that is not your usual practise space? Roll-out your mat next to wherever you are! ๐Ÿ™ Cleanse this space daily and practise some slow restorative yoga, layer-up and use your tools and props to help you feel cosy. Make it your safe place for this winter. ๐Ÿฉท

Most importantly, whatever you do, rest as much as you need. You have the strength to meditate and manifest your goals in these moments, and you may find you do them sooner than you think! ๐Ÿ’ช

How has your practise changed this past week? ๐Ÿ’ญ

With love,
Louisa ๐Ÿฉต
